The 9pm and midnight fireworks are free and need no ticket. Managed access starts at 1pm and closes at capacity; there are no pass-outs.
The official directory currently lists Circular Quay east and west, Campbells Cove and Barangaroo Reserve as free options. All are capacity-controlled.

The Royal Botanic Garden picnic is bookable from A$255 for members, A$315 for a member's guest and A$80 for children aged 6–15. Membership conditions apply.
